Pompey låner stjerneskudd fra Tottenham

Dane Scarlett skal kommende sesong spille for Pompey.

NYHETER: Nok en spiss er på plass. Mange håpte George Hirst ville returnere fra Leicester, men selv om det ikke ble Hirst er nyheten om at Tottenhams unge spiss Dane Scarlett kommer på lån veldig godt mottatt av Pompey-fansen.

18 år gamle Dane Scarlett kommer på lån hele 2022/23-sesongen og vil sørge for at det blir veldig hard konkurranse om spissplassene. Tidligere i sommer har vi signert Joe Pigott og Colby Bishop. Nå står Pompey med tre spisser som sannsynligvis alle vil holde høy League One-kvalitet.

Scarlett har gått gradene i Tottenham og står med to Premier League-kamper for London-laget. Totalt har han ti kamper for Tottenham og han har kontrakt med klubben ut 2025/26-sesongen. Han er engelsk u-landslagsspiller og står med imponerende tolv mål på 14 kamper for U19-landslaget. Han står med totalt tre kamper og tre mål for England U15 og U16.

This is his first loan and so it won’t be easy because it’s a new experience, but we’re there to support him, like we have done with many young players in the past. We’re really looking forward to working with Dane, who’s an outstanding finisher with both feet and his head. He has a ruthlessness that centre-forwards need.”
