Tomorrow just another day.
Now THIS is how you take a penalty. 🚀
Ross Barkley, take notes. 👀📝

Pompey manager Kenny Jackett:
“It was a frustrating evening and a very poor start from us, which gave us a mountain to climb.
“You can look at both goals we conceded and we need to be much more solid, even if there was a big deflection for the second.
“But I still felt positive that we could get something out of the game andperhaps even win it because we had enough time and enough of the ball.
“We swapped to three at the back to give Haunstrup and Evans more width in those crossing positions.
“There were some big chances for us in the second half and the keeper made a really good save from Ronan, who played very well.
“Marquis had one that went just a whisker wide and there was another decent penalty appeal for a foul on Cannon.
“But for all of the domination we had with the ball, we couldn’t find that killer instinct until right at the end.
“It was a penalty on Ellis and Brett’s put it away very well. It would have been nice to have a few more minutes after that to try to score the winner.”
“I’m obviously frustrated as well because six points from six games is not where we want to be.
“We have to keep working away and need a series of wins to turn our season around. It’s up to us to make sure we do that.”
Burton Manager Nigel Clough:
«Strikers are always going to be looking for them in the last minute and there was a little bit of contact from Jake. But I think if you give penalties for that little contact in penalty areas you are going to get five or six a game.
«It was a magnificent effort tonight to get within seconds of getting the three points despite being down to ten men for so long. And coming here tonight, if you had asked us about 2-2 we probably would have taken it.»
«We had no problems with the sending off. The first yellow card was right and I think he got the second one right as well.»
«Joe has got his first goal for us and we are absolutely thrilled for him. Unfortunately, the shine is taken off it a little bit as we had to bring him off. He was the unfortunate player after we had to reshuffle after the sending off. But he got the goal, earned us a point and he’s right in the mix for starting on Saturday.
«The players can’t give anymore than they have done over the last two games. We have played two promotion contenders and we have more than matched them. With a break here and there we might have had six points not two from the two games.
«We now go to Tranmere looking for three points on Saturday. We need to go there now and put the same amount of effort in again, that will be the key.»
Kommentarer fra Twitter:
Most important week of his #pompey career. We fail to beat Wycombe and get heavily turned over next Tuesday,it’s over for him.I just hope no matter what the players think of KJ they turn up next Tuesday.not putting in a performance for the fans will end a few of their careers here
Taxi for Jackett.
Chris houghton looking for a job would have him over kJ any day of the week for #pompey job
When you watch highlights of the other league 1 games, its striking how good the football is from vast majority of teams, with dangerous midfield ball carriers running at defences and slipping players in. A million miles more advanced than us. #pompey
Still fuming with the pathetic performances by #pompey and the #stags last night, absolutely abysmal might have a punt on the #ChampionsLeague tonight.
#pompey KJ wont go any time soon unfortunately when 15k+ attend home games. I doubt they look at social media but for eg look at Eisners message only 200 fans replied! That will be seen as a small minority same as messages. If you want him gone it needs to be done in numbers.
MCrorie not the answer in centre mid clearly. His athleticism and drive better suited at right back where we have no decent options. Get Burgess at centre back and Naylor back in midfield and try to come up with a gameplan not solely dependent on crossing #pompey
#michaeleisner #pompey 2019. 29 games played Won 9 lost 9 Drew 11 Current campaign. 1 win out of 6 games. Shameful numbers for a team with such huge support.
