Jewitt-White skrev proffkontrakt

Midtbanespiller fra akademiet med profesjonell kontrakt.

NYHETER: 2004-modellen Harry Jewitt-White er walisisk U18-landslagsspiller og har spilt fem kamper for Pompeys førstelag. Alle i EFL Trophy. Nå har han som første akademispiller skrevet under på en proffkontrakt under Danny Cowleys tid som Pompey-manager.

Jewitt-White signerte kontrakten på Fratton Park før avspark mot Rotherham tirsdag.

Selv sier Jewitt-White følgende til Pompeys offisielle webside:

«I’m delighted because Pompey is where I’m from and they’re the club that I grew up supporting. I’m really happy. Now I need to keep working hard if I want to kick on and do enough to earn my place in the side next season.

It’s been an unbelievable experience to have been around the first team and it’s made me want more. I’m looking forward to what lies ahead. I want to thank all the academy staff, but especially Jon Slater and Shaun North, who have been with me since I joined the club at the age of eight.

Everyone has helped me get to this point, though, including Liam Daish and Greg Miller. They’ve all been unbelievable.”

«Harry’s a good receiver, a good passer, he’s a boy who wants to do well, I can see it in his eyes, that desire and ambition to want to be the best he can be.

Now for us he has to work out what he is as a midfielder. A midfielder has to stop goals as a destroyer or create or score goals – he is trying to decide which one of those he is. At the moment he can do a little of all three, but he will decide over time.»
