Millenic Alli har fått en god start på sin Pompey-karriere.
NYHETER: Pompey hentet i januar angrepsspilleren Millenic Alli på lån fra League One-klubben Luton Town. Alli imponerte på slutten av forrige sesong i Championship for Luton, men etter nedrykket har det gått tråere og Luton lot Pompey hente Alli på lån ut sesongen.
Alli er en hurtig og sterk angrepsspiller som kan spille i flere offensive posisjoner, men han har først og fremst spilt på venstrekanten. Det har kommet godt med ettersom Josh Murphy er ute på ubestemt tid med sin skade. Alli har på åtte kamper for Pompey én scoring og tre assists så langt, og fortsetter han slik vil nok Pompey være interessert i å hente han permanent til Fratton Park neste sesong.
Om Pompey har råd til det er en annen ting, men Alli har gjort sine saker veldig bra etter at han ble hentet i januar.

«I’m so happy to be here and think it’s a great opportunity to get some games in the Championship. Now I just want to show everyone just what I can do and am looking to get this club into a higher position.
The gaffer needed a winger and hopefully I can repay the favour and do a job for the boys. It’s always good to be wanted. He told me how the side wanted to play and how I’d fit in, so it was a no-brainer. It sounds like it will suit me to a tee.
This is obviously a better standard than League One – the boys are faster, stronger and move the ball quicker. That’s good because it provides a test and pushes you to keep up with the quality. I’ve heard the fans here are fantastic. I’ll always run and work hard for the team and try to lead from the front as best as I can.

«He’s someone that we’ve admired for a while and we’re delighted to bring him to the club. He impressed for Exeter before joining Luton, where he was a shining light during what was a difficult back end to last season.
We’ve brought in a player who has experience of Championship football and is comfortable on either flank, as well as centrally. He’s an explosive winger and we feel very positive about him being the first player through the door here this month.”
