Mark Raine mener Oxford borte er en kamp Pompey bør få med seg poeng fra. Det tror han også Mousinhos mannskap gjør.

SUPPORTERINTERVJUET: Etter seier mot Cardiff tirsdag, har Pompey fått litt pusterom fra nedrykksstreken. Samtidig er det ingen av lagene i bunn som er fortapte og det kommer stadig noen overraskende resultater. Pompey trenger å plukke poeng framover – og borteformen må bli bedre. Vi har snakket med Mark Raine, medlem nummer 40, før lørdagens TV-sendte bortekamp mot Oxford:

Det ble 1. plass og opprykk forrige sesong. Hva er dine beste minner fra 2023/24-sesongen?

– Being at Fratton Park to see us beat Shrewsbury, knowing that we’d almost secured promotion. And of course Shaghnessy’s header!

Hva er dine tanker om sesongen så langt og hva forventer du av Pompey denne sesongen?

– It was all about survival this season, and after a tough start, I think we’ll be good enough to stay up.

Hvilke lag tror du rykker opp fra Championship denne sesongen og hvilke tre lag rykker du ned?

– Burnley, Leeds and Sunderland to go up. Plymouth, Luton and Cardiff to go down.

Har du planer om å få til en tur over for å se Pompey i løpet av 2024/25?

– I went to QPR away earlier this season, and hope to catch another game before the end of the season.

Hvordan holder du deg oppdatert på Pompey (kamper og nyheter)?

– Mostly matches on Pompey+, podcasts and social media.

Har du noen favorittspillere i dagens Pompey-spillerstall?

– After the promotion season, it has to be Colby Bishop.

Hva er dine tanker om John Mousinho og hans trenerteam?

– Considering that this is his first managerial position, I think he has done a great job, and he appears to have built a strong team. I think he struggled to adjust to the Championship in the beginning but he, and the squad, has visibly grown in confidence over the last couple of months. Some good transfer dealings in January would suggest he is still being backed, and I think we’ll stay up.

Nå er det Oxford på bortebane. Hva er dine tanker om denne kampen, hva er din startellever og hvordan tror du kampen ender?

– Oxford are a bit inconsistent like us, but I see this is a game that we should get something from. I’ll go for 1-1, but hope we can sneak a win, my starting 11 would be: Schmid, Ogilvie, Atkinson, Shaughnessy, Swanson, Potts, Dozzell, Murphy, Lang, Aouchiche, Bishop.

Har du ellers noe du vil si til resten av de skandinaviske Pompey-supporterne?

– I’m confident that next season we’ll be a bit higher up the table, and the experience of this season will help us to get off to a stronger start. With the bonus of a South-coast derby next year, it should be fun.
