Pompey har allerede to australske spillere i troppen.

Hovedtrener John Mousinhos kommentarer
«He’s a really exciting young player, who is coming over here with bags of potential. Thomas has already made a real impact playing in the A-League this season and will be ready to come here and try to do the same for us in the Championship.
“He works incredibly hard off the ball and scores goals, while is also a big physical presence, so we’re very much looking forward to working with him.”
One of the most prolific goalscoring teenagers Australia has ever seen is on his way to England 🇦🇺🎯🔥

Thomas Waddinghams kommentarer til overgangen
«It’s very exciting to be here – I’ve met all the staff and players, and it’s really nice to be a part of it. I had a great time at Brisbane Roar – a club I grew up supporting – but I think that this is the right time for me.
The trip over from Australia is a long one and I’m glad to finally be here. Everyone says this is such a good place to be. I come from a small town and this is definitely a big move for me. My family are proud and happy for me.
There’s going to be a big difference, including with the football. It’s not the first sport over there, but it’s good to have it all around you here. I’ve heard some ex-players saying that Fratton Park is the best ground they’ve been to, so it’s going to be a great experience for me.
The Championship is definitely going to be a lot more intense and tougher to play against the defenders here. But it’s a challenge I’m ready for and I think that Pompey is a place where I can progress in my career.”
