Hovedtrener John Mousinhos kommentarer

«He’s done really well during his time with us and we know what qualities he can bring. We’ve had such a strong squad in that time, but circumstances have obviously changed with the injury to Tino Anjorin and we felt this was the right thing to do.

Josh is an excellent player and actually had a couple of other options, but we’re delighted that he’s chosen to sign with us. He’s pretty good with both feet and likes to drift inside, while he can also finish, so there’s plenty of excitement he can bring.

Josh has got a lot of technical ability and has played in both the Premier League and Championship – we know we’ve got a good player on our hands if we can get him going again.”

Josh Martins kommentarer

«It feels brilliant. I’ve been here training for a little while and have really integrated with all the lads. I felt part of the team straight away and so it’s great to get the deal over the line. It’s already like home.

This is a great club and so when the opportunity came to initially train, I wanted to take it with both hands. It’s so easy to feel comfortable here and I have been able to help the lads in training to keep pushing them.

I knew a couple of them already, like Abu from Norwich, but it now feels as though I’ve known all of them for a while. The lads have been brilliant in the league to remain unbeaten and are a joy to watch, so I can’t wait to be a part of that.

My hope is to help the team push on even further and towards promotion. I’m looking forward to putting on a shirt and contributing with goals and assists. The manager wants us to play good football and express ourselves – it’s easier when he knows what he wants and says it straight.”
