Faktisk havde Fleetwood blot 3 i hele kampen.
Pompey manager Kenny Jackett:
“It was a comprehensive 1-0 win and we were the stronger side in both halves.
“We restricted them to not much going forward, which is an achievement because Fleetwood have some talented players.
“The key moment came from a set-piece and that’s two assists in two weeks now for Donohue, which is good for him.
“We’d have liked more clear-cut chances and more goals, but we were the better side and deserved the win.
“You’re always wary with a narrow lead, but we saw it through very well and got into situations on the break.
“That’s how it should be – we need to be tight at the back and have the pace and ability to score further goals.
“We’re looking to get a really high points total this season and we’re pleased with what we’ve got so far.
“We work hard and are humble about every single result we get in this division, so we won’t be basking in the glory too much. We’re in on Sunday to look ahead to facing Burton.”
Fleetwood manger Joey Barton:
“It was a pretty even match, with both sides cancelling each other. We have come to a place with 18,000 fans and it was silent for the majority of the game. It looked to be a set-play game, where you have two good sides competing and the key is to make the most of those opportunities when they arrive.
“I thought on the whole our delivery from set-pieces has not been as good as it has in recent weeks, which is disappointing.”
“On the whole, I thought the officiating team were poor. We got a player booked for taking too long a throw-in, where they have a player who took at least double the amount of time; and he didn’t get booked.
“Young Nathan Sheron was sent off for winning the ball – bizarre. Everybody in the stadium apart from the referee, fourth official and linesman on our side see that Nathan won the ball clearly, yet he was sent off. We can’t appeal that as it was a second yellow card, which for us is ridiculous.
“As I’m finding at this level, the officiating leaves a lot to be desired. They [the referees] have to be more consistent.”
“I said to the lads that we can’t want for the lack of effort – clearly we needed a little bit more quality today. But saying that, we could be saying that for both teams today, because if we would have won 1-0, it would have been the same thing.”

Thought Ben Thompson put in a cracking display particularly 2nd half today and rightfully MOTM. Won headers, tackled and threaded passes. As comfortable a 1-0 as you will see
Wasn’t impressed with fist half today and our atmosphere was missing for most of it . Played a lot of hoof ball . Second half we picked up and it was a good goal from Hawkins . The best part was the tribute , very moving and think we did him & his family proud !
A tribute today to Craig Bryden at #Pompey after 58 minutes – There’s only one Pompey Pirate. https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=gMH42eebF1MÂÂ …

Fair play to the 76 hardy @ftfc fans who made the long trip to the sunny South Coast today. Supporting your club is what’s it all about. #Pompey visit Fleetwood on December 29th. Will be brisk for sure! Same scoreline would be perfect.
