“I thought Kyle Bennett and Gary Roberts were excellent – they were both absolutely terrific. You saw what Eoin gives us – it’s not just about the goals, but his all-round play and intelligence. He’s a really top player. Everything we did was good and everything about us was strong. I really enjoyed watching us play.
If you’re going to be passing team then you have to be brave with the ball and our lads deserve all the plaudits. Blackpool stretched us in the second half and put us under pressure, but we did really well in the first and controlled the game. We always looked a threat on the break and defended solidly, so it was a great night for us overall.
It was lovely to see the ground rocking like that. It’s a special atmosphere under the lights and the fans were fantastic. Now we’ve got a massive game at Barnet. We’ll take our fantastic support there and look to keep this run going. We’re fit, we’re strong and we’re scoring goals, so now we need to get that third win in a week.
Kommentarer fra målscorer Eoin Doyle
«I wasn’t confident that he was going to square it and I made my run for the rebound, so it was nice when he slipped me in. I could have had three goals before it and it was disappointing that I couldn’t take those chances. But it was nice to get it in the last second of the game and the place was absolutely rocking afterwards.
“It’s an absolutely massive result for us to back up the three points we got against Accrington at the weekend. It was a tough fixture against a Blackpool side who were also on the back of a great result, so we knew it would be difficult. But we came out with a high tempo and kept that going for most of the game. I think we deserved the three points.”
