Pompey tabte 2-0 til National League-holdet Aldershot i deres anden testkamp på to dage.
Hakeen Sandah og Marcus Dinanga scorede to hurtige mål før pausen og sikrede sejren til hjemmeholdet.

John Mousinho stillede igen med to forskellige hold i hver halvleg, denne gang med flere akademispillere i aktion.

Aldershot var farligst før pausen, mens Pompey havde svært ved at skabe chancer.

Efter pausen kom flere erfarne spillere på banen, og Pompey fik bedre kontrol over kampen.

Trods en stærkere afslutning lykkedes det ikke gæsterne at få bolden i mål.

Portsmouth manager John Mousinho:

“We had quite a few younger players involved – six in the first half and then another three in the second.

“But I still expected better from our overall performance and it was a pretty disappointing afternoon from us.

“I know that results aren’t particularly important in pre-season, but the way we went about our business wasn’t very good.

“We didn’t show enough in terms of what we’ve been doing over the past two-and-a-half weeks and we can expect more from them.

“The result doesn’t concern me, although there were a few bits I saw that we need to do a lot better. It wasn’t a performance that was befitting a Championship side.

“Our first proper game is still more than three weeks away, though, so there’s plenty of time to put things right.”
