Håper og tror på en snarlig avklaring

Millenic Alli markerte seg både på godt og vondt på utlån fra Luton til Pompey. Nå håper kantspilleren på en snarlig avklaring på sin fotballfremtid.

NYHETER: 21 kamper, ett mål og fire assists endte den hurtige 26-åringen på utlån i Pompey andre halvdel av 2025/26-sesongen. På sitt beste var han veldig farlig og god med sin hurtighet, og det han viste på sine gode dager var nok til at han fikk sin A-landslagsdebut for Irland i mai. Her hadde han også én assist i Irlands 5-0-seier mot Grenada.

Med han var svært variabel i sine prestasjoner og han opplevde både å bli byttet ut i pausen og å få kjeftet huden full av Pompey-fansen.

John Mousinho uttalte i februar at han ønsket å signere han permanent i sommer, men kanskje har hans prestasjoner etter det fått han til å bli mer nølende. Det snakkes om en overgangssum på 1,5 millioner pund. Sannsynligvis sitter han også på ei god lønn i Luton. Spørsmålene er hvor mange andre som eventuelt er interesserte i Alli og om Pompey kan få ned prisen og lønnen.

Millenic Allis kommentarer til Daily Mirror

Alli har tidligere vært klar på at han er interessert i en permanent overgang til Pompey. Nå siteres han på at han håper og tror på en snarlig avklaring på sin fotballfremtid. Luton rykket ikke opp fra League One og Alli er naturlig nok interessert i å fortsette karrieren på et høyere nivå:

«We will see very soon. We all want to play at the best place possible and the highest place possible, so we’ll just have to wait and see what happens.’

Om landslagsdebuten: «It feels like you’re a million miles away from it (non-league football), but it’s just about just waiting for your time and just keep working hard for your time to come. Obviously, it’s always the dream and you just have to keep knocking away and just keep working.

Hopefully, the hard work pays off and it’s paid off to a certain extent, so I’m very grateful. You always have to believe in yourself and just give all glory to God with all the blessings and all the opportunities. So, as the years went by I had more opportunities and I took them as much as I could. And here we are today.

There’s a lot of very good Irish players that are in my position as well, so I can only just keep working hard and doing well at club level. Hopefully the manager selects me and I play to the standard that he’s looking for.»
