Det er lite positivt å si om årets sesong, men det er ikke over ennå, poengterer Michael Pantling.

The Last Nail in the Coffin?
I had really hoped that Pompey would have got something positive out of our visit to QPR but we got hammered. Is it the last nail in the coffin? Certainly not since there are still 8 matches to play.
There is however little positive to say about this season as we have really struggled, most worryingly at home – what has become of Fortress Fratton which was last season’s savior.
Not only that while we have not been good at scoring goals this season, letting 6 in in a match is a disaster when our fate could depend on goal difference.
I don’t think that Pompey are a particularly bad team, it I more that this is a hugely competitive league that has some big spender who we are not in a position to compete with financially.
Our owners have a fairly conservative approach to spending and while I cannot be alone in wanting to see some higher value purchases I definitely do not want to go back to the bad old days of bankruptcy which took a very long time to recover from. I cannot see Sheffield Wednesday being in a position to compete for promotion from League 1 next season given the potential further points deductions – we do not want to be joining them in that position financially or indeed in League 1.
Where has it all gone wrong this season?
In my opinion we have been particularly unlucky with injuries, not that that is an excuse it can happen to any team, but as soon as it seemed we had a well functioning first team we suffered 2 or 3 injuries that put us back to square 1.
I cannot see that we have any outstanding players this season, my favourite remains Nicolas Schmid. I don’t think Connor Chaplin’s return has been up to expectations and the likes of Coby Bishop and Marlon Pack were not as good as last season.
I’d be happy to stick with John Mousinho – he hasn’t suddenly become a bad manager – but things are not going his way and he must be feeling the pressure.
Survival will be up to the team’s resolve and the fabulous Pompey fans home and away who never forget that we are Pompey and we don’t give up.
Yes there is still hope so it isn’t over just yet.
Play up Pompey!
