Mark Raine tror Pompey sikrer seg tre poeng borte mot Sheffield Wednesday i ettermiddag.

SUPPORTERINTERVJUET: Pompey har vært svake på bortebane denne sesongen. Seieren borte mot Oxford i første serierunde er Pompeys eneste trepoenger på bortebane.

Denne runden er Pompey noe så sjelden som favoritter på bortebane når turen går til Sheffield. Wednesday er bunnlaget som nærmest er klar for nedrykk allerede, men de vant faktisk på Fratton Park tidligere i sesongen. Nå bør Pompey ta tre poeng for å få et lite pusterom til nedrykksstreken.

Vår medlem nummer 39, Mark Raine fra Allerød i Danmark, deler her sine tanker før dagens kamp.

Det ble 16. plass i Championship forrige sesong etter opprykk fra League One sesongen før. Hva er dine beste minner fra 2024/25-sesongen?

– Seeing us win our first game away at QPR was great fun. After a tough start in the Championship, to finally get the win was special.

Hva tenker du om det Pompey har foretatt seg på overgangsmarkedet før 25/26-sesongen?

– As always seems to be case, Portsmouth are in the market for players at the lower end of the price range and the summer was no different. But despite this, the new signings seem to have come in and we have had a much better start than last season. One of the best bits of business was keeping Murphy, but I fear it will be even more difficult to keep him in January.

Hva var dine tanker og forventninger til denne sesongen?

– Although we had a better start and got more points early on than last season, we still find ourselves in a relegation fight. Unfortunately, our problem is scoring goals and this needs to be addressed in January as a priority, If Bishop can start scoring, and we get some support, then I’m confident we’ll stay up.

Hvilke lag tror du rykker opp fra Championship denne sesongen og hvilke tre lag rykker du ned?

– I think Coventry and Middlesbrough will go up automatically, and then it’s anyone for the play-offs! Perhaps Bristol City will finally get there. At the other end, Sheffield Wednesday, Oxford and Charlton to go down.

Har du planer om å få til en tur over for å se Pompey i løpet av 2025/26?

– I was just over to see the QPR game at Fratton Park and would like to go over again before the end of the season.

Hvordan holder du deg oppdatert på Pompey (kamper og nyheter)?

– Mostly through the website and Facebook and through Pompey+. Danish TV does show games occasionally on Viaplay.

Har du noen favorittspillere i dagens Pompey-spillerstall?

– In the current squad I like Dozzell and Murphy.

Hva er dine tanker om John Mousinho og hans trenerteam?

– Mousinho has received some criticism in the media but I think he’s done a pretty good job with limited resources. Even during the recent run of bad form, the team spirit seems to have remained and this is a positive reflection on him as a coach. We’ve had our share of bad luck, and we have been outplayed a few times this season, but that’s where we are as a team. With some good business in the January window, I think we could go on a strong run similar to last season.

Nå er det Sheffield Wednesday på bortebane i serien. Hva er dine tanker om denne kampen, hva er din startellever og hvordan tror du kampen ender?

– It’s a bit tricky to pick a starting 11 with the number of injuries that we have but I’d go for Schmid, Devlin, Poole, Shaughnessy, Ogilvie, Dozzell, Chaplin, Le Roux, Blair, Segecic, Bishop. I think we will win 2-1.
