Supporterintervjuet: Før Peterborough (B)

Michael Pantling (t.h.) liker naturlig nok starten John Mousinho har fått på sin managerkarriere i Pompey. Mot Peterborough tror Michael det blir tett og jevnt.

SUPPORTERINTERVJUET: 63 år gamle Michael Pantling er engelsk, men har bodd i Søborg (København) i mange år. Vår medlem nummer 42 har i mange år også bidratt på vår nettside med sine meninger og svarer hvert år på supporterintervjuet. Her er Michaels tanker før lørdagens bortekamp mot play-off-rival Peterborough:

Hva var dine tanker og forventninger til kommende sesong?

– Promotion was foremost in my thoughts and expectations.

Hvilke lag tror du rykker opp fra League One i år?

– I think that Plymouth will get automatic promotion together with Sheffield Wednesday or Ipswich getting the other place. The play-off place will be a bit of a lottery but one which Pompey still have a small chance.

Hva synes du om Pompeys sesong så langt?

– A real roller-coaster season, tremendous start followed by a bit of a disaster. We are on the up again and long may it last.

Har du planer om å få til en tur over for å se Pompey i løpet av 2022/23?

– I hope to see Pompey two or three times at Fratton in 2023 and maybe one away match.

Hvordan holder du deg oppdatert på Pompey (kamper og nyheter)?

– Mostly from the BBC.

Har du noen favorittspillere i dagens Pompey-spillerstall?

– I have been impressed with Marlon Pack holding things together and Owen Dale giving a bit of flair. Denver Hume looks promising.

Danny og Nicky Cowley måtte gå. Hva synes du om deres jobb og var det riktig å sparke dem?

– I think they did a good job building a solid team. The results started to go against us and the lost the crowd. Losing was one thing but Pompey simply were not playing as well as they did at the start of the season and that added to the pressure.

John Mousinho er ansatt som ny manager. Dine tanker om den ansettelsen?

– Two wins out of two couldn’t be better. I was surprised that Pompey didn’t go for a more experience manager and I would have liked Leam Richardson to have got the job. The decision has been made so it is up to the fans to get behind the manager and the team.

Nå er det bortekamp mot Peterborough i serien. Hva er dine tanker om denne kampen, hva er din startellever og hvordan tror du kampen ender?

– Peterbrough have been tough opposition but have had their own managerial issues. I think it will be a close match but one that the rejuvenated Pompey can win. Matt Macey in goal, a back 4 of Ogilvie, Raggett, Robertson and Towler. Pack, Dale, Hume and Morrel across the middle and Bishop and Piggot starting up front.

Har du ellers noe du vil si til resten av de skandinaviske Pompey-supporterne?

– The club is financially stable and the ground keeps being improved. I think we have got the best team in a long while and if it doesn’t happen this season, promotion remains the main aim but hopefully soon and with a team that would be strong enough to stay up. PuP
